“Things Not Seen” Do You Have Wisdom To See?

A few weeks ago I went on the March for Life in D.C. Then, yesterday, we protested Planned Parent Hood’s abortion practice. Joyful was the sleepless three-day trip for the March for Life and by incredible contrast, how overwhelmingly sad was yesterday standing up for life at the Planned Parenthood clinic.

At the march, hundreds of thousands of people rallied by walking the streets of Washington to provide a voice for those with no voice. These marchers were really joyful, the comparison, and contrast to the Pro-abortion people who rallied in front of the Planned Parent Hood office, they were seemingly mean-spirited, shouting at others to make their point. There was a certain beauty to the march in Washington, and anything but beauty at the Planned Parent Hood support.

A Bit Exhausted

The DC trip requires a 10 hour, overnight, bus ride with 50 students. It is an exhausting trip, as I reflected about the trip as we returned home, I read the quote below from the Churches daily reading the morning we returned to school at 4 AM. After three nights without sleep, a bit exhausted, I found myself listening for God’s grace and peace while reading the daily readings and taking the time to meet Him in his word.

“Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen.” Heb 11:1; Daily Reading January 28th, 2017

The March for Life is a Pro-Life rally in D.C. each January that commemorates the 1974 Supreme Court decision making abortion legal; the famous case of Roe v Wade. The Rally helps me see hope in our future through the eyes of our youth; I have been seven times. I’m honored to listen to the hearts and minds of the forty-seven High School students who intuitively know there is something good about giving a voice to the unborn.
